Walking in Rain with Big Changes on My Mind

It was barely light and I made my way down the beach as foam blew across my path. Rain fell. Much was on my mind as I contemplated the big changes in my life that are now underway. How will I fare? How will my father fare? Where am I going in my personal and creative life? What will it be like for a spell not living near the ocean after 23 years? What will I write in the coming days, weeks, months?

All will unfold.

There are always new, unforeseen and better opportunities when a calamity such as a pandemic, death or extinction of self occurs. Believe me, I know what I am talking about.

As I meandered I thought about the better opportunities that might be coming my way soon. Some are already arriving.

For one thing, I can finally get a haircut from my on and off stylist since 1986.

Another thing: I will start playing tennis.

Yet another thing: I will start riding a bike.

And still another thing: It will become so much easier taking a shower.
